We are all absolutely thrilled to be coming to Boston this weekend. It is one of our very favorite stops on our tour and we can't wait to see everyone! It's going to be an exciting event! A huge THANK YOU to all that are attending, for your overwhelming support!! We are completely SOLD OUT, so no further competition entries will be accepted. We will be getting started on Saturday morning with classes, followed by the competition. Classes resume in the morning on Sunday. We have already sent a detailed schedule to all of the registered studio owners/teachers, but we also like to post a brief overview of the weekend here on our website. It is as follows... SATURDAY; Feb. 6, 2010 Classes begin at 8:00am and end at 1:15pm. COMPETITION begins at 2:30pm. SUNDAY; Feb 7, 2010 Classes begin at 8:00am and end at 2:15pm. Faculty Performance begins at 2:30pm followed by the Dance Off and Scholarship Awards. JEANINE MASON TO PERFORM AT WCDE! We are excited to welcome SYTYCD winner Jeanine Mason back to WCDE! She will be performing in the faculty show this weekend in Orlando. We are all so proud of Jeanine and congratulate her on all her accomplishments. We know it's just the beginning! It's been a busy summer and early fall for the West Coast Dance Explosion faculty. As we get ready to start our 2009-2010 season, we thought you may want to know what the gang has been up to lately. Stacey Tookey has been busy with SYTYCD Canada where she is one of the choreographers on the show as well as directing the tour. She will also be a choreographer on upcoming shows on SYTYCD right here in the U.S. John Crutchman & Alan Sherfield have returned recently from teaching in Costa Rica and are currently working with new vocal artist Anya, as well as developing a brand new TV pilot. Nick Bowman's new Minneapolis based tap performance company, Rhythmic Circus, has taken off big time! Their performances featuring dancers, musicians, and vocalists have been receiving rave reviews! Eddie Strachan is a performer in the company as well, and their current production- "Feet Don't Fail Me Now" will continue locally and on the road. Elizabeth Parkinson, Jeff Lapes and Kim Wolfe have been traveling extensively teaching at intensives and setting choreography. Ricky Marcelino has a new dance company, which is currently performing in Europe! Our entire team is extremely excited to get out on tour and dance with all of you. See you soon! Nationals SPECIAL OFFER! WCDE will again be extending our popular pre-qualifying special offer for our 2010 National Finals at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas! (Pre-qualify 15 numbers at a regional convention and get an additional 15 numbers of equal or lesser value pre-qualified free). Additional NEW Dates announced for 2009-2010 Tour! The West Coast Dance Explosion 2009-2010 season will feature an 18 city tour! We have just added Chicago, IL at the Westin O'Hare on December 5-6, 2009! We have also had a change in our Dallas, TX dates. The Dallas convention will now be held on January 9-10, 2010. All of our tour dates are now set, and we are looking forward to dancing with everyone around the country again soon! Our new brochures will be available mid-August. A BIG Thank You to all who attended our recent SOLD OUT National Finals! The dancers were absolutely amazing and the performances a joy to watch. Bravo to all of the participating teachers, dancers and parents who had worked so hard all year to be able to showcase their talent the way they did on the Mirage stage. It was simply awesome!!
